Langhorne Slim

Langhorne Slim has a powerful and unique voice. For a while he shared a label with his buddies The Avett Brothers. In fact, one of my favorite Youtube videos is of Seth Avett casually picking his way through Langhorne's song Lord. Langhorne recently moved to Nashville to be closer to me and all the other cool people.  He's finally enjoying some commercial success with his 2012 album The Way We Move. It's getting a little airplay on Lightning 100 and is featured in a TV spot for Microsoft Windows 8.

The Honorary Title

Loved these guys upon the first hearing. The Honorary Title formed in Brooklyn in 2003 yet only have two full-length albums. The first, Anything Else But the Truth debuted in 2004. Scream & Light Up the Sky came out in 2007. Unfortunately the band called it quits a few years later, but these two albums and a handful of EPs still rock my ear-holes.
